MEET THE THERAPIST
Monica A. Brown M.H.S CCC-SLP, LSVT-LOUD
Monica Brown is an ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist and the founder/CEO of Promised Land Therapy LLC. She obtained her Bachelors degree from Northern Illinois University located in Dekalb, IL and later obtained her Masters degree from Governors State University located in University Park, IL. Monica has had the opportunity of providing services for a variety of populations with the pediatric population being the most desirable. She also has experience working with several communication/swallowing disorders and the neurodiverse community(i.e. Autism Spectrum Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome etc). Monica has provided speech and language services in a variety of settings such as Skilled Nursing Facilities, Long Term Acute Care, Outpatient Care, Intensive Care Unit, Schools, Private Practices, Home Health and teletherapy. She currently holds a certified Speech-Language Pathologist license in the states of Texas, Missouri, Illinois and California. Monica takes humility in extending her knowledge and education via continuing education courses and training in order to provide effective and updated evidence-based practice.
ABOUT PROMISED LAND THERAPY
Promised Land Therapy LLC was founded in 2023 on beliefs and principles of a faith:works ratio approach (James 2:17). The purpose of Promised Land Therapy LLC is to establish and provide individualized based therapy for the pediatric populations (ages 0 months-21 years) who are experiencing difficulties in the area of communication as well as cultivate a faith-based approach to speech and language therapy.

Promised Land Therapy LLC aids in optimizing speech, language and social skills in order for clients to effectively express their wants, needs and ideas. We strive to increase not only our clients’ faith, confidence and quality of life, but our families as well! Here, we believe in progress over perfection; faith over fear. Here, we are family.
OUR SERVICES

FREE 15-20 minutes consultation and screening services are offered to determine if further evaluation is warranted.

Evaluation services (assessment, discussion of assessment results and individualized therapy plan)

30 min- 1 hour 1:1 direct treatment sessions (frequency of visits and duration of sessions are dependable on the needs of the child and insurance approval)
